Privacy Policy

You can use CoinSeek without an account. We collect the following, and nothing more:

• Searches: the text you search for, the filters you choose, what the search understood and found, which result you open, and any feedback you give on the results.
• A visit identifier, only if you accept analytics: a random value in the coinseek_visit cookie that groups the searches of one visit. Without your consent, searches are recorded with no identifier at all.
• What you send us: tools you submit, problems you report, and messages from the advertising and feedback forms. An e-mail address is only stored when you give one.
• Technical logs: our hosting providers keep short logs of requests, which can include IP addresses, to run the service and protect it.

• We do not store your IP address in our database. To limit abuse, our server turns it into a one-way hash, which is kept for at most a day.
• We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not build profiles of visitors.

• to answer your searches and show the tools you ask for;
• to measure and improve search quality, for example which searches find nothing;
• to review submitted tools and fix reported problems;
• to reply to your messages;
• to prevent spam and abuse, and to keep the service secure.

To understand searches better, the team may send search texts, without any identifier, to an AI provider (Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude). The same providers help classify the public websites of tools. Please do not type personal information into the search box.

• Search records, result clicks and feedback: 180 days.
• E-mail addresses from submissions and messages: erased after 180 days. The rest of the message is kept while it is useful to the team.
• Abuse-prevention counters: up to 24 hours.
• The visit cookie: until you close the browser. Your cookie choice: 180 days.

Only service providers that run CoinSeek on our behalf process this data:

• Vercel, for hosting;
• Supabase, for the database;
• Upstash, for short-lived counters and caching;
• Google and Anthropic, for the AI processing described above.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

Data travels over encrypted connections. Access to the admin console is limited to the team, and only administrators can see e-mail addresses. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what we keep.

You can accept or refuse analytics at any time on the cookie preferences page.

To ask about, correct or delete what you sent us, write to coinseekio@gmail.com. Search records are not linked to a name or an e-mail, so we usually cannot tell which searches are yours.

CoinSeek is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
